Terms and Conditions – Jim Mason Sports Massage

These are the terms of business on which Jim Mason Sports Massage Ltd (“we”, “us” or “our”) provides a sports massage service to you. Please make sure that you have read and fully understand these terms and conditions before you book a treatment with us.

Appointment booking and cancellation

We will provide you with an email confirmation of the time and date of your sports massage appointment. If you do not give an email address or give an incorrect email address when making the appointment booking, you will not receive this email confirmation.

You can cancel or reschedule your appointment ONLINE provided you do this not less than 24 hours before the time of your appointment, by using the link provided in your original appointment confirmation email. You can also notify us by text message on 07762 363496 if ypu prefer. We reserve the right to charge a minimum fee equivalent to the cost of the treatment (£50, £65 or £80) for failing to attend your appointment, and not notifying us of your intention not to attend.

A late attendance for an appointment will result in a shorter appointment time being offered, or the appointment being rescheduled for another time and date.

Payments and pre paid courses of treatment

You must pay for treatments in full on the day of that treatment, or online in advance when you make an appointment booking, if you have purchased a course of treatments by paying in advance, then you must still give 24 hours notice to cancel an appointment and we reserve the right to deduct a treatment from the pre paid package that you purchased if you do not give 24 hours notice to cancel the individual appointment. All treatment packages must be used within 12 months from the original purchase date, however some exceptions to this may be considered in specific circumstances.
Suitability of sports massage treatment with us

There are some potential contraindications to having a sports massage treatment, this will be discussed on your first appointment, or if this occurs later in a course of treatment, then it will be re evaluated and you will be informed if it is no longer appropriate to continue with your treatment.

We are unable to offer treatments during pregnancy although we will recommend another practitioner who will be able to help.

It is not unusual for you to feel some muscle soreness, aching or slight bruising as a result of deep manipulative therapy to the soft tissues (skin, muscles, tendons and ligaments) and this will pass as part of the recovery process.

We will always be honest and open with you if it is not appropriate for you to have a sports massage treatment.

Liability

We will not be liable for any financial loss or loss of personal possessions, as a result of, or in connection with the provision of services to you. We will not be liable for any damage that may be caused as a result of your failure to disclose medical details that may, for example, make treatment inappropriate.

We will not be liable for any muscle soreness, bruising and discoloration of the skin, following a sports massage treatment, as this is quite normal (see previous section-suitability).
